The Carbon Research CR9 is an 8-inch multi-caliber suppressor built from carbon fiber, Kevlar and titanium, weighing about 6.3 ounces. It is rated from .17 HMR up through 9mm and .300 Blackout subsonic, and is full-auto rated for 9x19mm. With supersonic ammunition the manufacturer specifies a barrel of 16 inches or longer, and with subsonic ammunition 8.5 inches or longer. It measures 1.33 inches in diameter. Depending on the package, it comes with 1/2x28 and 5/8x24 titanium direct-thread mounts, an aluminum end cap and a booster assembly for pistol use. Carbon fiber's low heat conductivity helps insulate the tube during firing.
