The Alpha American Firearms AAF 4 Government is a USA-made, hand-fit double-stack 1911 chambered in 9mm. It has a Tritop slide profile that reduces glare and lightens the slide slightly, a 5-inch match-grade barrel, and a stainless steel grip for added weight and stability. The pistol has a light rail, wide cocking serrations, a pinned grip safety, a blacked-out rear sight with a fiber optic front, and an optic-ready slide using the Nighthawk Custom IOS system. The trigger is set at 3 to 3.75 lb. It includes two 17-round magazines and is finished in black DLC.
