The North American Rescue Individual Aid Kit (85-0404) is a simple, vacuum-sealed bleeding control kit for people without medical training. It holds compressed gauze for wound packing, an emergency trauma dressing for sustained pressure, petrolatum gauze, 1 inch surgical tape and a pair of large nitrile gloves. The vacuum seal lets staged kits be checked without opening them. It does not contain a tourniquet, so pair it with one where limb bleeding is a concern.
