The Daniel Defense DDM4 V4 S is a semi-automatic short-barreled rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO that also fires .223 Remington. It is built around an 11.5-inch cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel in chrome moly vanadium steel with a government profile, 1:7 twist, carbine-length gas system and a low-profile gas block. The barrel is free-floated inside a DDM4 Rail 10.0 handguard, which has integrated QD sling points on both sides at the front and rear and comes with three heat-resistant rail panels. The mil-spec upper and lower receivers are CNC machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with a Type III hard-coat anodized black finish; the lower has a flared magazine well and a rear QD swivel point. It ships with a Daniel Defense buttstock and pistol grip. Overall length is about 27.9 to 31.25 inches and weight is about 5.85 lb, with 1/2x28 muzzle threads. This is an NFA-regulated short-barreled rifle.
