The Dead Air Sandman-S is a .30-caliber quick-detach rifle suppressor in the Sandman series, built for heavy use. Its Cobalt 6 (Stellite) baffles are welded into a solid core with 17-4 PH stainless steel, inside a stainless steel tube. It attaches with Dead Air's KeyMo quick-detach system, and a 5/8x24 KeyMo muzzle brake is included. The R-series front cap is removable and replaceable. It is 6.8 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter and weighs 17.7 ounces. The finish is black Cerakote on the body and nitride on the attachment parts. It is rated for calibers up to .300 RUM, is full-auto rated and has no barrel length restrictions, so it works well as one can for 5.56, 300 BLK and 7.62 rifles.
